Whenever I face a design challenge, I try to think beyond just “what works” to provide the required structural capacity. My goal is to develop a design that is practical, constructible, and efficient, while fitting into the intended aesthetic and functionality of the building. To be successful in this effort, good communication with the architect, owner, and other design team members is critical. I enjoy working with partners that understand the challenges faced by each discipline within the design team and then collaborate to achieve a design that is embraced by all parties. This in return will benefit the Owner and the project.

Unraveling complex issues and deconstructing them into more manageable components that can be understood and resolved is a skill I possess. I am also driven to always design something. Structural engineering puts those elements of who I am to good use.
