I specialize in the preservation of various assets such as tunnels, utility structures, parking garages, buildings, and even historic landmarks. My role involves ensuring these structures have an extended lifespan by educating owners about necessary maintenance, repairs, and upkeep. I identify the root causes of deterioration and collaborate with owners, clients, and contractors as a team to restore and repair these structures. What is extremely rewarding is seeing the transformation of the “before” and “after” of any concrete restoration project. In particular, working on any tunnel infrastructure project presents several unique challenges. Addressing structural issues within these spaces (some dating back to the early 1900’s) can be tricky. This can involve repairing or replacing components and strengthening structures to accommodate new loads, ensuring functionality of the tunnel, managing project goals (minimal shutdowns, preserving landscaping, etc.), and balancing all of these with the project’s scope, budget, and schedule. I find great satisfaction in assembling a team of engineers to solve problems and fulfil our client’s needs. It’s not just about the design team; we involve our clients and contractors to develop and implement the most effective solutions.

It's the people that drive my passion for what I do. Building relationships and understanding our client’s needs enable me to contribute to their goals and visions of success. The structures I work on become more than just concrete; they become critical components of infrastructure, functional parking facilities, and historical treasures that preserve stories from the past.
